Pulled Pork :D

A few weeks ago I decided to make some, since it's cheap, keeps forever, and is quite versatile.



All the ingredients, in profile.


The pork shoulder, coated for a couple hours' quick cure


Tucked snug in the pot with chopped apples and onions, plus bourbon, cider vinegar, and a little water


4 hours later, pureeing the braising liquid while I did the actual pulling of the meat- I don't see too many people do this, but man does it boost the flavor, and thickens the end product too!




Finally, the smoothed sauce back over the meat to soak up all the love.


My only regrets are that I took no pics of the many sandwiches I made, and that the only bourbon I had to cook with was Maker's Mark. This was some pricier than predicted pulled pork XD.
