Fursuit Makeover -FC2009 WE NEED A FURSUIT CHOICE THIS WEEKEND!
Hi there.
If you've been to FC, you may remember the "Fursuit Makeover" panel from a couple of years ago where we picked a candidate and then proceeded to modify the suit right before an audience of (generally bored) attendees. Part of the problem is that people can't get close enough to the action to get anything out of it and two hours is too short a time for those doing construction and too long a time for those in the audience. The new format is one hour long and it's filmed beforehand and edited to 45 minutes with only the highlights of the construction process and then presented to the audience in a large format that everyone can see (and hear) and then the person whose fursuit has been made-over is presented with the updated suit, changes backstage and presents their new-you to all those in attendance. The format of the video is similar to make-over series where problems are pointed out and solutions outlined in advanced.Then the process is filmed, tips and even a little levity is added to keep the audience entertained.
Having said that, we're looking for volunteers for this upcoming FC!
In order to qualify you must:
1. Assure us that you'll be attending FC2009
2. Be willing to submit to the whims and aesthetics of the panel producers
3. Not squemish about having your fursuit ripped assunder and then re-assembled back.
4. The goal of the show is to reclaim and re-use whenever possible, but consideration will be placed on those who can provide additional fur materials from the initial creation of their suit.
5. Provide us with a number of "before" photos of the suit.
6. Willing to debut your new suit in front of a spectator crowd.
With these requirements in mind, please feel free to submit your request. Along with your request to be considered for the show/panel, please post a picture of what your suit looks like and what you had in mind when creating the suit. It's not first come, first served. We will evaluate the suits for retrofitability and announce a winner by the end of the week.
