Your best bet is to use a head strap or harness that's secure enough to support the weight. You could try a hard-hat strap, or this harness by TwinBlueChimera: https://www.etsy.com/listing/609705034/flexible-fursuit-head-harness?ref=shop_home_feat_2

My very first mask had the same issue and I ended up literally using a small bag of rocks that hung down behind my head, but I don't recommend that if you have any desire to sell or give away the mask at any point.
