I think you should close the blinds before going to sleep. But that's just the mood I'm in right now. You see, if you are in the mood to control your environment to impose your desires (when your desire is to decide the volume of light), you should close the blinds. However, sometimes I like to train myself by living with certain circumstances existing beyond my demands (the often overused and vague "letting go").

Here's to traveling down the river, training, playing, winning, losing, not keeping score, cooperating, and fighting with you at your parents' new estate.

You know the song I wrote on your laptop --kind of hip-hop type, done two winters ago, drumbeat like: bssbsbbs? I had the idea to turn that into a very silly song with rapping about D&D. So, if you could hold on to that for me, I'd appreciate it.

I live for open window shades in the morning (among other things). The best is when the sun on your face wakes you up. You know it's going to be a great day.

i am more of the type of person who closes the shades at night and then open them in the morning. i always get the modest mouse lyric in my head, "open the window and let in some sky." when i do this and i like it.

also this summer, you better put your money where your mouth is when it comes to doing a raft trip down the river. i would like to be on the first trip and the last trip and also to help build the raft. seriously.

take good care of yourself and i hope that i will be able to see you soon.

oh yeah also, on may 14 there is a team alleycat race that is going to huge. it is probably the longest race that i have ever heard of, from 124th st to canarse pier (the bottom of brooklyn). 5 people per team. what do you think?

that sounds really cool. how does it work - is it a relay type of thing? i definitely want to do this.

when do you think you will be around NH this summer, so we can make the raft project a reality?
