Favorite Fruits Basket chapter/s or episode/s and why: Err, I haven't made it through vol. 13 of the manga, so...I guess so far I really liked Mayuchan-sensei's background story. She's a cool character. I think it's great how Takaya-sensei makes even minor characters real. I also liked learning about Momiji-chan's estranged mother, because it gave him more dimensions and it was soooo heart bleedingly angsty!
Favorite Fruits Basket character and why: Hatori-san. Not only is he sexy and smart, but he's a doctor! (And shares my sign!) I love how he shoulders so many burdens with cool collectiveness. The Mabudachi are my favorite characters, but Haa-san is special! My favorite girl character is Uo-chan because she reminds me of how I act with my friends. (Including beating up on Kyo-kun...I have a Kyo-ish friend!)
Traits you are looking for in a partner: A smart, funny man with good money sensibility who likes to travel would be dreamy. It wouldn't hurt if he spoke two or three languages, as well. I'm a very low-maintenance girlfriend, so I like a guy who's like that, too. We can each do our own thing half of the time, and do something together the other half. Physically, I prefer tall, thin guys...uber muscular types are teh ick!
Traits you dislike: In a guy, no? In a guy...well, drama. I dislike it in general but I have the double standard that guys really have no business acting like divas. But on the flipside, I dislike guys who only like "guy" stuff like sports and yard work (haha) and who have absolutely no appreciation for the fine arts. I can't abide by shallow-mindedness. While it can be cute for a guy friend, it's not cool for a partner to be dumb. Guys who criticise girls looks a lot are no-no. Finally, I could never be with a guy who just spends tons of money on random material things...even if they're for me. He would have to be filthy rich to justify that.
Describe your ideal first date in detail: Um--ahhh...Hahaha. ^__^;;; Well, you can't rewrite the past. I guess my ideal first date would be my first date with my ideal partner [see above]. It would be cute if it were in some weird location/situation like you see in the chick flicks...I dunno, on an airplane, in an elevator, that kind of thing. As long as its memorable.
