Manga vs Anime

I thought I was gonna stay away from this but since someone brought it up.
Do you feel cheated by either manga or anime version of fruits basket?
does either interfer with your fic fantasies? What pisses you off or delights you about either? :)

Anime wise, its the fact that Shigure doesn't seem to have his other side, the side that HAS to be plotting something. It cheats Shigure, and is thusly cheating the audience. Also, hated the bitter-sweet ending, it didn't feel like a natural ending, it felt soo... Incomplete.

The Manga version... I felt the secret behind Akito made it wrong. I guess it adds depth, but it ruins my attraction to the character alittle. I liked the guy side, but this other *SPOILER, spoiler, blah blah blah* side isn't as interesting to me. Maybe because I was attracted to him? Probably.

It ruined lots of my fanfics, that revelation, but I still continue to write them, none the less. Fanfictions are supposed to be something made up by the fans anywho.

I love this series soo much because it was beautifully written and inventive, with the right character developement. Honestly, I love this series to death, even if I rant about small things.

I'm satisfied by both really. ^^ Except for when Akito was shown in the beginning of the manga since she was shown as completely flat (you know what I mean...). OO; In the manga it's alright since Akito was a guy there... ^^;
