4Kids is not renewing the license to air Pokemon. It is being transferred over to Pokemon USA. 4Kids will handle the transition of the 8th season dub. Does this mean we may finally get to see how much of a fucking fairy James is and how often Ash puts on a dress? Probably not but the thought of uncut Pokemon in the US makes me laugh in an uproar.

4kids/Kids WB did leave in the bit in Pokemon the Movie 2000 that James is gay.

Funi has made some real improvements. We wouldn't have seen a lot of the longer series they've dealt with including Detective Conan. Their translation and dubbing of Fruits Basket was pretty solid and I have faith in their ability to bring over Kodoma no Omacha. I'm also partial to Funi because I won a Lupin dvd a few years back at Katsukon from one of their panels. Also they're about the only chance One Piece has of getting a uncut US release.
