The novel hotness of my new hairstyle has all but worn off in a spasmodic and less-than-satisfying haze. It seems especially useless when half of the people i know have yet to see it (or me) within this past 2 week period

To be completely statistical, the majority of cutters are not at risk for suicide; most do it to compensate, without any intention of killing themselves.
Now, I remember feeling disgusted by anyone who would indulge my need to do it. Maybe that's because my own reasons for doing it were personal. At the same time, I could spend hours sorting through pictures of body modification, scarification, piercings, blood, needles...and find some fascinating, most beautiful, and a few just sick.
And I despise that label..."She's a cutter".
It shouldn't define anyone.

This whole entry kinda pissed me off &left a bad taste in my mouth.
It seems the more&more I read of your lj the more I realize how different we are &always have been, &it confuses me how we lasted as long as we did.

I would expect something different from you from this situation.
I would expect.... intelligence.
