As much as I do like reading people's lj's and remaining somewhat up-to-date on the happenings of their lives (trust me, I do read, even if I don't comment, even if you are begging for comments), I think there's more negativity and stress and depression than there is good news anymore. I've got more than enough of that going on in my own life

Good luck!!! I'm sure you'll manage to get through all this-- and I wouldn't stress about the real job come December. if you have to go full time working retail, because no schools are hiring midway through the year, you'll be able to get the jump on all the openings because you'll have your eye on them, waiting, come summer/fall. Or, you might luck out and get a good substitute teaching gig which could lead to a full time position.
