I enjoyed your perspective on this situation. I should reread any time I feel extra down or negative. I also like how the chap’s name is Holmes.

He's a great one for being the sidekick to expose the truth of a situation.

This seems like a brighter future than what I see happening in politics, but you never know!

We wondered how the Republicans could defend Trump's actions that were on trial during the impeachment hearings. But now, some even seem to be able to support his misguided advice about the coronavirus! (i.e. back in church for Easter!)

Fun read, and very nice conversational tone.

Thanks! I think conversations are a great way to tell a story, once you get over the tedium of putting in all those quotation marks!

I liked this perspective on the pandemic.

Also relatable. I feel like I'm a lot more cautious about following the rules of shelter-in-place and washing hands and disinfecting than someone else I like with (ie my husband I'm divorcing).

I'm not divorcing mine, but his cavalier attitude may send me to the loony bin!

“There will be less dependence on oil and perhaps the strife in the oil rich areas of the world will ease.
If only!

Many more of us could certainly be telecommuting than actually are, but so much of that is up to employers. I'm part of an entire corporation in that boat, and our software lab is crackling with productivity. Especially now that our cubes are smaller and more open at work, so the distraction rate in the actual office is epic.

I do like the perspective that mutual societal helpfulness is one of the good and encouraging things to come out of all this. :)

I too will be very surprised if this ends with more tolerance for telework. I have California friends who are like “isn’t everyone seeing how great it is for air quality?” And I’m like, “Guys I’m in the south. The air quality is rarely badly enough to notice and everyone loves their cars soooooooo much.”
