Wait, I thought Dick was Shirley's husband?

This was a delightful tale, and if only such a potion were real!

60 wouldn't seem that great looking at it from the perspective of having once been 30. But from 80? Oh, yes! And isn't it sad how much clearer hindsight often is than how we see things in the moment? Especially regarding ourselves.

That's one good side effect of hanging out with older people. No matter how critically you look at your own aging looks, you look quite fresh and young to the old ones. It also serves to put the whole aging thing into perspective for yourself!

:D

I can imagine that one of the big differences between 60 and 80 would be the issue of aches and pains. At 60, there are a lot of people who have never had arthritus, but by 80, probably not.

Live long enough, and your body will be mad at you about something. And that will still be better than the alternative! ;)

Yes, good point. When I finished (having already slightly exceeded my self-enforced rule of 2000 words or less,) I realized that Bashalli had claimed that Betty was destined for great things. I suppose had I fleshed that idea out, we might learn just why the potion was "free." But as I implied, the meter had run out on adding in new concepts.
