I smiled and sat back in satisfaction. I lifted the cup of tea to my lips and savored the combined aromas of Earl Grey and slightly burnt toast wafting gently through the kitchen. In fact, wasn’t that smoke I could see rising from the toaster? The morning sunshine did cast a homey cheer upon our morning routine

Much warmer!

Every day here in southern California between the beginning of July and mid-November is typically too warm for my tastes so anything that involves getting the feet wet is a refreshing idea.

What a scary situation for Mom and Pop to be in! I hope they find that guy quickly and handle that situation, but good thing the siblings got out quickly, and weirdly managed to have a good trip at the same time. :-/
