“How’d it go with you after the last time?” The technician in the white coat checks in with me before we begin my second treatment.

“Well, fine, I think.” I reply. “Are the side effects from this cumulative?” I’m still a little skeptical.

“No, no. Actually, the greatest chance for more serious side effects occur during the first two sessions.”

I laughed when I realized your fiction, but I feel like this is exactly where my brain would be going in the machine. Also, I would require a full body mesh because with my luck, I'd find a way to sneeze or flinch during a session, and there goes 4th grade memories! (I'm kidding, and that probably isn't very helpful for you, is it?) I really do think that you are very brave to undergo all of that, and I hope it works!!!

Fortunately or unfortunately, I'm not the terrorized type. Of course, the scientist in me is always thinking about the possibilities and asking the probing questions, like how does it cause a loss of hair a few weeks later but not harm my eyes which can stare deeply into that mechanical pupil? Or, what happens if there is suddenly an earthquake? Ok, now I'm starting to scare myself.

I love the way you used both of the prompts in this session.

Oh thank goodness for that last line after the story! I was excited to read more about this amazing machine, and here it is burning your brain!

It does look like you're stuck in some sort of torture device in the pictures, though, so I can definitely understand why your mind went there. :)

I'm not a worrier. But seeing this contraption doesn't require much imagination to picture what could happen!
