Maybe it isn't a reincarnation issue, but actually a transferrence? After Rukia stabs Kaien, the hollow stows away in her soul-cutter, and after Ichigo stabs himself with her soul-cutter, her spiritual power along with the hollow joins Ichigo...
I know it's a little late to be submitting ideas (half-assed ideas at that) this late in the game. I'm sure everything will be revealed in the next month.
Also, Yuzu and Karin don't look very alike to me... If they are twins, then they are probably fraternal twins. Which could mean, any genetic similarity between them would be drastically dissimilar. As for why Yuzu doesn't have any spiritual powers... Well, she does. Just not on the level of Karin and Ichigo. As for why Tatsuki never developed any spiritual awareness until later in the game is probably related roughly to the amount of time Ichigo was a shinigami. When Ichigo was little, he couldn't make out the Grand Fisher.
