I'm assuming the bit about their origins came from or was confirmed by your parents. The question is, are their intentions as good as they say they are? How long have they been hanging around you? You know, this reminds me of a lot of Chinese myths and stories about ancestor spirits. I mean, clearly they aren't your ancestors, except they kind of are, in a way not so commonly thought of.
