The long line of SUCK

So yeah. Life just doesn't get better when there are worse things yet to pounce you. So, interviewed with the NICU and Infant Isolation floors at Riley on Tuesday, went horribly, very scary, got the polite yet firm refusal letter (no, scratch that, email) today. Took a Peds test, think it went ok, but you just never know. Had OB class, scariest ( Read more... )

Ok, let's breathe and review:

I believe that was your first job interview. We have all had interviews that did not go well. It's ok. I interviewed for a job years ago I was more than perfect for. It failed. They hired someone else. I still got a job and all is fine.

As for the class - allow yourself to gently review the information. You can't really be a fiance or mother if you don't do well in school so let's make school your priority. I believe that every time in the past you thought you were going to fail, you did not. Your teacher will burn in Hell for her evilness - I'm not the best teacher in the world but I sure don't do that to my students!!!! Now just remind yourself that you love OB - and don't let your teacher ruin that for you.

As for moving, well perhaps we should talk about that. But first school. First Jessie.

*big hug* We are rooting for ya' sweetie!!!!

I know I sent this message with Mark but just in case he forgot - You know better! NICU is rough stuff and not something I would hand my worst enemy right off the bat. I know it's what you want but get your feet wet first. When I got my CNA I applied to every AIDS hospice in Chicago. I knew they needed people desperately and it is *why* I got certified. They were all looking for experience. Lots of it. NO matter how dedicated I was there was no way to break in right out of the gate. In the medical world, some stuff is rougher than others. You know this. You *will* get a job at a NICU; just count your blessings that it is not right now. Talk to Lois and I'll put you in touch with creature57. The nursing shortage if huge and you will get a job!

Love you and am pulling for you... I'll be sending you good smarts mojo until I hear Pomp & CIrcumstance!
