I'm kinda entirely embarassed........I've called ghosts 'spooks' for YEARS....never knowing it's a racist term. I had no idea. This past weekend we went to the Ink-n-Iron fest to see the Sonics n Batmobile at the queen Mary ship in Long Beach. I never knew that was a racist word either! In the UK it just means you are scared of something, something made you jump. "I saw somehting and was really spooked by it". It's also used for ghosts. SO I don't think you are a bigot at all!

I never thought of it being a derogatory term eitha! But it is.. Apparently my boyfriewnd just thought i was slightly racist somehow, until he told me! (And only because I was using the word spook like it's goin out of fashion.) And YES we are really happy.hehe.
