So we haven't updated akaibox with the kiriban pictures because Eden is a) a clumsy doofus, b) a procrastinator, and c) being held hostage by exams. The combination of personal stupidity and real life made for a rather impressive bout of artist's block ( Read more... )

omg! i think this very well might be one of my favorite works of yours eden! i mean. wow. nice work with the movement and such. and it reminds me of growing up with the older neighborhood kids or even playing with my brothers. like, when you're running around right at dusk, before it's dark, but still light enough to play, then mom calls you in cuz it's too dark out, but you disagree! wow. gotta love childhood summers! so i guess it emotionally gets me, but also very much visually. but it doesn't matter cuz it rocks and so do you!

If you haven't heard BoA's "Atlantis Princess" (the song I listened to while drawing this), I will HAVE to send it to you. It's happy and carefree and just SOUNDS like summer and being young. And I always wanted an older brother (well technically I have one, but he's only half and WAY WAY WAY older and lives in Texas) to play with when I was younger. I was seriously so happy with how this came out. I managed to translate the pencil sketch to color without losing any of the spirit I was trying to convey. And I consider all the original characters I create to sort of be my children #^__^# My little cup of motherly love overflowed while working on this XD XD XD

yeah, i definitly need that song then, cuz i don't have it. but siblings are great! i love mine to death. never realized how much they meant to me until i skipped away to college. but yeah! this was so great. i totally loved it. i love your original characters so much more, and i've told you on numerous occassions too! lol!

It's bad form to publicly fangirl my own work, but....MY CHILDREN!!! ::luvs on her children:: Parental pride colors my judgment. XD I'm sure there are things that could've been done better...but...i luffles them. As we discussed, it's the first piece I've translated from pencil to color that really kept the essential, important parts ^__^
