Oh, touche Chantale. Good job on flooding the kitchen yet again!

I didn't think you could do it but, again, you suprise me on just how badly you can lose the game.

Yikes!

If it's any consolation, in making dinner I just dumped the peeled-off skins of five different kinds of vegetables all over my freshly-mopped floor.

And OH! OH! This WILL be a consolation:

Last year, Andy & I lived in an apartment in a building, which meant that we had carpet everywhere except the kitchen & bathroom. We also had a leaky faucet, and the sound it made in the sink was understandably annoying. I discovered, though, that if I moved the faucet so that the water dripped down the side of the sink, it was less loud.

BUT. One night, I had moved it over a MICRON TOO FAR without knowing it, and we went to bed. I woke up to a flooded kitchen and A PRETTY DAMN FLOODED LIVING ROOM. Yes, that's right, on the carpet. We spent two days soaking up that mess. And my landlord lived next door to the person below me, so I was terrified there was this gigantor water stain that she could see and would evict us!

Ohh gosh!
That is a great amount of consolation. An exess of consolation!

It's amazing how such simple things can fuck you over so badly.

exactly the same way as last time. i was filling up the sink to do dishes, then just walked away and forgot about it.
just your good old fashion stupidity.

I almost did that at work once.

I can't do that at home because almost all the sinks have this little security drain near the top of the sink.
