[Once the Gear is sufficiently stifled (and Lady and conspirator have been sufficiently chastised-which isn't saying much, considering his blatant favoritism toward his Eevee), it's back to practicing for Yagyuu, this time shifting his stance to accompany the voice work as he slowly but surely works his way into character. Apparently staying seated is stifling, because in a few moments he's on his feet, absently arranging limbs and adjusting posture as he looks for the precise amount of arrogance he's after.
There is, perhaps, a certain amount of flourishing.]
Deep, but mostly in the throat. Ah~n. ...Naa, Rikkaidai Fuzoku's Niou, are you ignoring me because you know you're unworthy even to speak to me, or is it simply that you're intimidated by my prowess?
[Yagyuu wouldn't be surprised, but at the moment he's in an odd sort of transitional phase, half himself and half not; the hand that instinctively moves to push up his glasses in response to the remark gradually slows to a halt, fingers curling inward into something closer to Atobe's Insight motion instead.
Yagyuu would distance himself from the remark, touching his glasses as if reaffirming that their shield is still in place between him and the world. Atobe, he thinks, would meet the challenge head-on - and so he levels a look of arrogant disdain in Niou's direction instead. A little too much, too over-the-top, not quite there? Quite possibly. But the character is shifting into place.]
Hah! Exactly the sort of crudity I'd expect from someone like you.
[ He's fascinated, really, watching Yagyuu's metamorphosis. It takes him back to when they were first learning each other, first trying on one another's skins, and it feels like ages ago, like decades, looking on as Yagyuu became Niou. He watches him slowly drop layer after layer of his own habits and quirks and nuances, gradually take on bits and pieces of Atobe, gathering him around himself until, Niou's sure, they'll be virtually indistinguishable. He's always thought that Yagyuu has the potential to be better at this than he is. ]
Oh, shame on me for bein' predictable, then. You should punish me.
