I think the fact that Burning Man has tickets that can sell out is proof that it has, in fact, sold out.

Not only did it sell out, it sold out to ticket sharks that will jack up the price! Fortunately I met a true Burning Man participant in real life, and visited their dwelling for a ticket in an area of Oakland I hadn't imagined could exist.

Fun was had, tickets was gots, for barely any markup! Woo!
