I'm not sure I understand really why you want this to be shut down? It's a well-rounded community even if it didn't turn out how you expected in every way. I'm in other rating communities and this one is by far very different from the rest. Plus the people in here are great... I don't think you should just shut down the community because it isn't fair to everyone who's been active here.
If you don't mind me asking, what did you have in mind when you started this community?

I offered a "fair" alternative (creating a spin off and/or promoting other communities). If you feel so cheated, you are more than capable of creating your own community and doing all the work. We (the mods) are not obligated to continue this community for anyone but ourselves. Life is not "fair". Deal.
I do have a community. Two actually. And I do know what it's like adding names to a list and running to get the accepted/rejected codes to stamp members and the joy of banning and denying access. I agree it gets tiring when there are some ungrateful people. But you pretty much already know this when you create a community. What I meant by "fair" is this community has gotten to be pretty big and the people here are alot more honest then they are anywhere else. and you two being the mods have done an amazing job to be able to manage your members like that, but you all of sudden running out on us after a well-rounded community has form because it's not what you 'had in mind' is bulls**t. and I'm sure that other people feel the same way. If anything has been wrong here it's that you(the mods) have been so tipsy-turny. I don't want to be a bitch, but I can't help but come off as one, sorry.

Like I said, we are obligated to no one but ourselves. We aren't "running out" on anyone. It's a community on livejournal. If this truly affects anyone's life in any seriously consequential way, then they have bigger problems to conquer.
I offered to promote communities in the last post, and like I said, you are more than welcome to create a spin off without "tipsy turny" mods, but don't bitch at us when we decide that we want to finish what we started.
noo! i love this community. i love it because it has real question, and not just silly ones. because you judge people based more on their answers than their looks, and that is what separates it from any community i've seen. even if it hasn't gone exactly the way you wanted it to go, that is still a huge motherfucking accomplishment.
I love this place. I met a bunch of great people here. I wish you wouldn't shut it down. But it is your community and if that's what you wish to do with it, then far be it from me to tell you not to. I just hope that everything works out.
