Mine date back as far as 2008 for now... some of them I don't even remember what I wanted out of the picture anymore sobs

Try new method, i guess? being experimental will keep you on your toes, especially when you find the style/method that you really want.

For me, at least, i try to enjoy the whole process. I'm not too bothered by the final outcome.

I've been experimenting for the past I don't know how long, and while it's good in some ways it's also painful to look at your own portfolio and go "wow this is some rojak rubbish". I'm sure you know that when you look at an artist's gallery, there is SOME distinct trait to it that just kind of jumps out at you... sigh.

lol orz I kind of forgot how enjoyable the process is anymore, I should try again.

Haha, if there was a solution to this I'd sure like to hear it!

Maybe one thing you can try is, don't be so bothered about finishing it: work on it until you don't feel like it anymore and stop, but then just remember to come back to it later. It could also help to leave your favourite parts till last so you have some incentive!

Struggle struggle, I guess that's how drawing is. ;;

That's a good suggestion, I should try. keii_san also said something similar above.

The eternal struggle with each artwork ;~; I find most of the time my problem is that I always start out with a vague image in my head, and I try my best to keep it there but somehow it always turns out different in the end... D8 IDK, when you start out with an artwork, can you already see how it would look like in the end?

Sometimes I can and sometimes I can't! Usually the stuff I call scribbles are things that I just started, well, scribbling without any real clear image. When they get more involved and I spend time on them it's usually because as I was scribbling an image started to form ( ... )

I get that a lot too but I think Loika's advice is the best way around it really. no use forcing it. Try not to think too hard while doing it too.

Most of the time when I paint/draw (these days), I usually have something vague in my head... and then as I go along it either morphs into something else or disappears completely and I abandon it (the latter is what happens 90% of the time). >_<; I'll try and up my tenacity and at least finish something these days.
