Thanks for the invite. Like your music, but it was too loud for the space. If you always play at that volume, I recommend you check out http://www.hearnet.com/index.shtml and play with some earplugs.
thanks for comming by. sorry i couldn't chat for long. there is a 104dB limit there. but i found out afterwards that we were riding 108dB pretty much the whole time. kind of annoying because Chris and I made the effort to monitor the first bands levels (princess rodeo). they peaked at 103. unfortunatly the bar guy isn't a sound engineer & the other band weren't very pro-active about it.
from up on the stage - that is behind the PA speakers and 2 feet in front of the guitar cabinets - one has a very different perspective of how it all sounds.
and our drummer is a "loud" player at the best of times - least of all when he is playing his brand new kit for the first time ever. pitty drums don't have volume knobs.
i always use earplugs during rehearsals. it's just silly not to.
but will definitly keep my eye (or ear) on the overall level next time. afterall, how could we ever expect to sell an album to people we have deafened?

No worries, and understandable under the circumstances :-)
All the best with it,
