The longest? I've got no idea. I've been around almost a year and a half, and I only know of one person for sure who's been here longer.

Who is it? And do you mind if I ask you a few questions, too? I want to get as much information as possible and it never hurts to have more than one source.

The guy I know? Kurogane. And sure, I can try to answer some questions.

Kurogane. OK, I'll remember that, thanks.

For starters, how much do you think you've remembered?

Hm, yes, you can't miss him, can you? After all, I know who you're referring to; not personally, but I've seen him before. So he is displeased I said anything of it, is he? I never realized he was such a fool. All I gave out was what happened in the vaguest and who the victim was, nothing one couldn't read in most civilized countries in a morning paper.

Besides, whether this place is full of fools or not, there are enough reasonably intelligent people to realize the gist of what has happened. It would be better to publicly announce the recent turn of events before those people realize what's going on and begin making foolish assumptions. What's more, hiding more than is necessary to use as tools to catch the criminal can only reflect negatively upon the officials here; they wouldn't want to look like a secret police, I would hope.

As for the onsen, that's not necessary. A von Karma does not allow herself to be in the debt of another--

*But it was also true a von Karma ought to take advantage of other people's debts to them, wasn't it?*

You offer because you feel you have done me an inconvenience? *Franziska had to, inwardly, admit that if the situation were reversed, she would not accept no for an answer. After all, von Karmas do not stay indebted...*

Right. I told him I didn't think you were the rumor-mongering type and apparently he didn't like that. I promise I won't ask for anything in return from you.

*She paused. She didn't have fond memories of the place. Or did she? They were... awkward memories. She didn't look back her time with Edgeworth unfavorably, exactly. What she hated was losing him.*

*She wasn't nearly as fond of this man, though. It thus ought to be safe, she supposed...*

Other than a blonde kid with some metal limbs... I don't remember anyone else being here longer than me. At least without disappearing and coming back, sans memories again.

Shit, I hate saying that.

What'd you want to know?

I've got a number of questions. You're not in a hurry, are you?

First off, here's a couple: do you know the blond kid's name? And can you elaborate a little on people disappearing and coming back blank again? I don't think I've heard of that yet.

Unfortunately none of us are in a hurry considering we can't get off this piece of shit rock, can we?

His name's Ed.

As for people disappearing and returning again? Sometimes they have the memory of being here and what they remembered while stuck here - those types don't even realize they've been gone even if it's been nearly a year since they vanished. Others just come back without a clue. Start over. It's infuriating. My roommate is one of those. He vanished. I never thought I'd see that idiot again until I got myself out of this place and then one day, there he is again, grinning like a fool. Tch. But, I'll tell you this much, he was different somehow. I don't know many others who come back but don't remember anything, so I can't say if that's normal, but he was definitely different than before.

This just to satisfy your curiousity or is there something more you're trying to find out?

Right now, I'm just trying to get as much information as I can. I'm not happy about losing my memories and not knowing what's going on. I guess I'm trying to figure out what I can expect and then just go from there. I'm not really liking what I've been hearing, though.
