Their quarters in Sietch Tabr were always ready for them, but it had been a while since Leto, Alice and Hania had been able to make the 'thopter ride there. "She grows so fast," Alice mused. Arrakeen was delightful, when she could confuse ambassadors and listen to politicking, but she liked the Sietch best. It felt more like home.

"I never have been," Alice laughed. "My governess was thoroughly displeased with me. Have we governesses, for Hania? If you expect me to teach her, her education will be quite sorely lacking."

It was odd to think of Hania ... growing up. Getting older. Becoming a child, and not just the infant lying between them. She wasn't sure what she thought of that. There was something ... unnerving to the idea.

"Lacking in some parts and quite thorough in others," he said, laughing softly. "What would you prefer? Irulan taught Ghani and I when we grew up." Of course, they had been quite knowledgeable before, which hadn't made Irulan's task easy. "I'm sure we could find someone here to teach her the knowledge of a Fremen woman. I believe the choice depends on what life we expect her to choose."

He had thought about that. What life would Hania choose?
