"I'd say that eating so much would make her worm-food for moving too slow if she tried calling one, but I don't think the worms would eat something so sugary," Ghanima called from the other room. She'd been spending more and more time on Dune lately, and was not above gently teasing her niece and her brother. Really, Leto, you gave her Pop Tarts. "I think her water's spoiled."

Sparkle had given Hania Pop Tarts. It would have been unfair not to let her have them, wouldn't it?

"Well, perhaps there are worms with a sweet tooth. Or rather, many teeth." The poor joke made Hania make another noise, which had been Leto's intention. He turned his head to look at Ghanima. "Are you going to blame me for this?" he asked cheerfully.

Teasing Hania and making jokes about worms eating her was obviously the best way to deal with this.

"There's an Atreides in this room who can see all paths of the future, and it's not me," she pointed out cheerfully. "I rather think that automatically makes it your fault."

She wandered over to look down at Hania. "Although this aspect of 'infinite surprises' is quite amusing. Who'd have thought that overindulgence like a Harkonnen would make you sick?"

Mean, Ghani. So mean.

"I'd like to point out that there are some exceptions to that," Leto replied. His daughter was one of them, after all. "And should I take that to mean that you consider everything my fault?" Leto loved Ghanima so much that he gave her an opportunity to say yes here.

And while on the subject of Harkonnens - yes, that was mean, Ghani - he continued: "I suppose she could have got that from our great-grandfather."

Now he got a glare from Hania, perhaps not entirely undeserved.
