TM #220: If you could buy a magic potion, what would it be?

Mar 02, 2008 19:19

This is officially the easiest question to answer, ever. If I could buy a magic potion, it would guard against death. I wouldn't use it myself, mind you; I would give it to my wife. If my vision is any indication of the future -- and judging by my past visions, it is -- she's the one who needs it.

The potion wouldn't necessarily have to be for immortality. But Padmé is so young, and she has so much to live for. There's just no fucking way it can be her time to go already. Death should only take the elderly, or the frail. Not someone as young and vibrant and beautiful as my love.

And if she dies, I die. There's no way around that. I just can't exist in a universe without her in it. She is my reason, my everything -- life is meaningless without her. So in that sense, the potion is for me as well. Because I selfishly need her to live.

There is no such potion, however. I've been researching everything I can get my hands on trying to find some way to save her. Time that could be spent with her, I'm spending in the damn Archives. So far I haven't turned up anything, but I won't rest until I do. That sounds cliché, I know, but it's true. How can I sleep when if I push just a little bit harder I might find the answer?

I would do anything to save her. Anything. I'm not supposed to feel that way, as a Jedi, but you know what? Fuck the Code. Whoever came up with all the Jedi tenets obviously doesn't know how it feels to love someone with every fiber of their being.
