Best place/resource for used motorcycles in SF? (for a beginner)

To buy a bike? I've only used Craigslist. It worked out okay.

I got a better price because I took an experienced rider/mechanic with me when I bought it. He took it for a test ride and got it to smoke, and then maintained that it must have an oil leak if it was doing that.
