Today was a wonderful day! Today was an auspicious day! Today was a bright day! Of course, almost everyday was brilliant and wonderful and lovely to Lucas. It was such a nice day that Lucas decided to take a stroll around Countshire, and he started thinking about just how wonderful his life was lately

Today sucked more than she had thought it was possible for a day to ever suck

Lucas steadily made his way towards Rhea, and when he got close enough to see her features more clearly, he paused for a moment as he took in Rhea's appearance. She looked... down, and Lucas' wide smile immediately turned into a worried frown.

Walking even closer, Lucas tentatively and gently placed a hand on her shoulder, hoping he wouldn't startle her. "Miss Rhea, are you all right?" he asked, concern apparent in his tone and his expression.

She'd just been estimating how much a new bike would cost (it would be a chunk out of her savings - one she might not be able to afford if she was fired) when someone put a hand on her. She jumped and pulled away twisting to see who it was.

Lucas?

Oh great. She didn't exactly need anyone she knew seeing her like this, not right now. Not ever.

"I'm fine," she said, sounding slightly more terse than she would have liked.

She didn't sound fine to him, but he would never voice that opinion, at least not like that.

"Are you sure?" he asked, still very concerned.
