So for my birthday Matt and I had tried to go to Fenway to see the Yankees play Boston- that got rained out and we go back August 18th, but yesterday was Matt's birthday, so my whole family made our way down to the Bronx to see the Yankees crush the Red Sox. Today was my birthday- lets just say it did not start well at all. I got in an accident last week and spent the morning figuring out how much money i would be shelling out, dealing with the collision place, the insurance guys, and trying to get a rental car- getting one- and finding out i didn't have rental coverage and having to take it back. I found out yesterday that someone turned down their RPI offer, and since I was th grand #6, aka first in line for second round offers, I got the spot! I am super stoked- they told me a few weeks back that I was the only student admitted (in the 10 who got in) that did not already have a masters, and that the fact that the others may have been ( Read more... )

So yesterday I got some bad news from my sister at 8 30 am, it turned out to be one of the worst in a string of about 3 weeks of horrible days. She called to tell me that the chord was wrapped around Josiah's neck, because the water had broken during the surgery after giving birth to the twins, he had died in the night from strangulation. so you guys, i need prayer like beyond seriously. my sister who was pregnant with triplets lost the set of identical twins today- she went in for her regular weekly check-up/ultrasound, and they just couldn't find the heartbeats. baby c (also known as josiah the fraternal triplet) is still alive. chances are not really great for his survival but ( Read more... )
