clean house

I didn't think it would happen to me, but a vacuum cleaner changed my life. Yes, it is a Dyson. I think I literally got a pound of crap up with it today. Its large cup was full four times. It makes me happy. :) And I fixed our ice maker today. What a relief!

OK, I won't make fun of you because a Dyson changed my life too. It picks up all of Whitman's dog hair. I talked about my new vacuum at work so enthusiastically that some of the volunteers said I was having an orgasmic experience while I vacuumed. :)

Dysons are amazing. But so expensive.

We´ve used goulo's and shaevel's. They make vacuuming amazingly fun.

On February 16, somewhere near San Jose, I sat on a bus with a fellow who talked about vacuum cleaners for the entire 20 minute ride. In fairness, the topic came up when I asked him about the steam cleaner he had with him on the bus.

He claimed to have purchased one on clearance at Home Depot for $50. He says he does that a lot, but you have to be quick. He goes to all the Home Depots and Lowes in the area a few times a week.

Of course, he also talked about an obscure brand that had a built-in jigsaw and cost over $3000. His wife bought one once after he had gone to bed, and he browbeat the salesman into coming back for it.

He spoke very highly of Dyson, too, but after the jigsaw story, I had a hard time taking him seriously.
