The bad news: Ian's recovery is going to be much slower than we thought. Yesterday all he could do was lie in bed. He will occasionally try to get up but doesn't have the balance. i wish i could be there to help out. you guys were much in my thoughts yesterday.

i find that surgical recovery is almost always slower and more painful than expected. even for people who know what to expect (like healthcare workers), you just don't know until you've been on the other side. i'm sorry the boy feels puny. my prayers for a speedy recovery are with you...

June and I spoke with Jack over the weekend about preparing dinner and eating with you all on Thursday night. I've updated the wiki accordingly. :-)

We'd love to help, but...

I'm home from work today with a sore throat and Jago is heading to the doctor in a few minutes to look at an ear infection.

I think our presence (and potential contagions) would do more harm than good. It's possible it's all just allergies, but I doubt we want to take a chance with that.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. More when we can.

My good thoughts for a smiling and healthy Ian.
Picturing him smiling and toddling like toddlers do.
And hello to Mr. Craig Calder too.

Gosh, I wish I had the time to give. I'll keep y'all in my prayers and I hope that the recovery is quicker than you expect.
