}{The apartment scene seems rather empty as Anji lays his communicator down on a make-shift kotatsu. Resting his chin on the faded blue fabric on the table he gives the screen a wave and an impish smile. You know, being a frequent visitor of Yomi, one would think that sensation of deep.. endless sleep ( Read more... )

I've been lucky, thus far.

Anji is of the opinion that your commitment to death is on par with your commitment to women.

Never fall in too deep for Johnny-san not to escape, naa?

Ah, but you're assuming I'd want to escape a woman's love!

Perhaps not love, but the proverbial ball-and-chain.

Death is similar in that way, in that it will want you only for itself.

You thinking is never a good thing.

Well I am a man living on the wild side!

With great thoughts come great pangs.

The brain is a work-out muscle too, you know.

Yeah, yeah. So you're always saying.

Think I've had enough of you and your "great pangs" for a while now.

Ah ha ha ha...!

Aahh..

The third time is charming, na?

Knock me down two, get up three!

Always win, never lose! And such loss is a win in learning experience, so!

I've died once. But that was before I came here.

How are you enjoying your second coming?

...It's weird. I'm still trying to figure out how the hell they put me back together.

Oro?

Did you fall apart?

Well, I'm lucky in that it hasn't happened to me yet, but are you looking for a total including deaths from your own world?

I'm more interested in the number one has passed on in this city.

To be specific, miss.

I wonder how many times it is permitted.

Or if it is simply an endless cycle of death and resurrection.

Ah.

...Hrm, I'm a bit surprised no one has tried it yet. Or do we all anticipate a limit to the scientists' patience, as it were?

Well.. I would hope no one is of the penchant for multiple suicide attempts.

In the name of science I can understand.. but still, an unsavory thing to think about.

As much as I am curious, I'd rather not test the theory with my own body anymore.

Only once.

...honestly, I think it was worse for my friends than it was for me, but I have no desire to repeat the experience, either way.

I was in a similar boat, so to speak.

My qualms with the afterlife are slim.

I don't mind it, if it is simply my time, but..

I did not aim to upset my comrades.

Exactly. The last thing I want is to cause them more trouble than I already have.

If the trouble is all on ourselves, no problem, na?

Saa.. it wasn't supposed to spread to others like that.

I should be more mindful of that but..

I cannot help who I am and what dangers I must face to continue being who I am.
