[life] hiatus, sort of.

Jan 23, 2012 15:13

Broke my arm recently during the Lunar New Year preparations. Will take 2-3 weeks to recover according to the doctor. Therefore, no scans and/or scanlations from me during that time. Sorry if I don't reply to any comments or messages. Kind of difficult to type with only my left hand, which isn't even my dominant arm.

Will post in detail when fully ( Read more... )

Just realised I never replied to the comments here, lol.

I tripped and fell within a crowd, and someone stepped on my arm. ):<

Ahuh. First week of school was a killer, as you already know. Just 1-3 weeks until I fully recover, so it's not too bad I guess. :P

Thank you very much for your concern! I only need a week or two more until I fully recover. :)

And this is late, but Happy Chinese New Year to you, too!

Damn.....get well soon, Fuwa!! Even if it isn't broken, still, a fractured arm seems pretty serious and it must hurt :(

Eh, really? I asked my doctor what was the difference and he said that a fracture was less serious. .__. Now I feel like I can't trust him... :'D

Thank you~

maybe your doctor meant you only have incomplete fracture (the bone is not completely broken) ^^

Well technicially, fracture means that there's a crack in the bone but its not all the way. Easier to recover from this since it can slow pull itself back together.

Broken bone generally means that the two peices came apart and most of the time, the broken part of the bone is either bringing fragments into the tissues (which is dangerous and requires cutting open the flesh to take out since it can rupture blood vessels and get internal bleeding) or get a clean break or its yanked out and breaks from the skin. Meaning your broken bone is seeable which is harder to recover from since then the insides of the bone is exposed to air and can easily get an infection. When that happens, lets just say its not easy to fix because of where its located. Normally, you either get bone marrow transplant or live with it.

Huh, better stop, my medical background is starting to show. Maybe those classes are coming in handy :P
