It's Sunday! Oh no! Tomorrow will be another long day of school... OTL
Anyway, my first day back at school was on Tuesday. I got 3/5 of my mid-year exam results back on that day. Wednesday was a public holiday since it was ANZAC Day and I got the other 2 results on Thursday. Here's my results:
- English (Standard): 72%
- (Advanced) Mathematics: 90%
- Physics: ... Don't even ask -- an 'F' doesn't even cut it, LOL! It was amusing, to say the least.
- Ancient History: 70%
- Business Studies: 69%
Uhhhh... Yeah, not too good compared to previous years. Everything except Maths and Physics were pretty much C's; Maths being the only A and Physics being the only F. Then again, it's not about marks this year; it's all about ranks. So let's say... the highest was 40% for Physics in the grade -- which, no, it wasn't -- if so then s/he's 1st in the grade. Doesn't matter if you pass or fail, it's just about ranks, yup. I came 5th in Physics for my class, yay! \O/ Fifth from the bottom anyway. Just means I have to do better in all my other assessments. I don't tend to get caught up in my mistakes so. /shrugs
Ah, in regards to scanlations... Yes, I know, I have a lot of scanlations to send back to groups. I've finished most of the scanlations outside of my main group (MxR) around mid-April, but because of my depleted bandwidth I've been unable to upload them; PSD files are huge, after all. So I'll be sending back these projects sometime around early May:
- Kakyou I by MOZAYA
- Rain and Ignorance by LAS
- Seijuuji Gakuen Kitan by OMEGA 2-D
- Yuuhi no Yami by DRAGON RIDER -- still ongoing
- Judgment by JESIA
- Gokurella Hayato by KINE IN AQUA
- Baby Milk by GINGIRA (HQ scans)
- One Day by KINE IN AQUA
I'll try and send most of them back on May 1st, but I have a feeling that I'll be really busy on that day. My friend accidentally took my Business Studies textbook home with her -- and I'm really behind on that subject -- so I'll probably be spending most of Monday-Wednesday (and maybe even Thursday) catching up. Hence if I don't send you back the project on May 1st, you've been warned. I assure you that all projects will be sent back by next Sunday though! c:
And in case you haven't noticed, yes, I'm trying to cut down my
project list by actually working on scanlations instead of leaving it for later.
I'm still considering quitting scanlations -- maybe not entirely, probably freelancing? -- since I've been losing interest in it. I have no problems working on any of
nubvola's projects for some reason; I usually finish it within a few days of receiving the project; but for other groups? It kind of feels like a chore. I don't know if it's just me losing interest in the pairing, fandom or what not -- actually, it's probably the fandom, but that doesn't explain everything -- or maybe even just scanlating in itself. To be truthful, I haven't worked on any scanlations for the past 3 or 4 months, haha, and I still don't have the motivation to work on scanlations. I thought a break would be good, but no inspiration coming back. :'D
Well, whatever. I'll see how that goes during May. It's probably a good time to quit scanlating anyway, since school will just get more hectic from now onwards. I literally collapsed onto my bed upon returning home from the second day of school. Besides, I've just gotten hooked on Code Geass fanfics. I spent my last week of my break just reading fanfic, fanfic, fanfic, one after another. It's been about a year since I've actively read fanfics.
On other news, I have so many scans pending to be posted on
fuwasyndrome. I've scanned so many books, but I haven't cleaned any of them. I keep scanning and scanning and never cleaning. I'm very picky about the dust on the scans so yeah. /nods But, seriously, I need to start cleaning most of them soon haha.
Just realised...my one year anniversary on LJ has just passed! And when I say that, I mean when I actually started actively using my LJ -- the day my friends-only entry was posted up -- instead of just lurking.
