And how scary is this: the BNP won 27 seats in the local elections ::shudders:: They're practically Nazis... All for ousting all the foreigners out of Britain etc... The thing is, though, immigration is so lax in this country that the rise of Nationalism is understandable if not morally correct.
I'm just worried we're going to develop into some sort of fascist society. Because the way I see it, the world's gearing up for another war. You have countries like Britain in which politics is falling apart, there's a complete apathy towards the ruling parties, just like there was before WWI. People are turning right and becoming more nationalistic - all the BNP needs is a strong leader and we're sunk.
Then America is in that early stage of a country's development where they're trying to become the superior nation by neutralising hostile countries, taking over territories (although of course at the same time pretending they're not) and attempting to control the world's trade. Plus for a country that contains 4% of the population it emits 25% of the world's pollution, so if nuclear war between America and another power doesn't kill us, the pollution probably will.
Sorry. Been in a rather apocalyptic headspace at the moment.
And now I should stop arsing around watching Yume Kazaguruma on repeat but i ♥ psycho le cemu like omg and do some more British history revision for my AS levels which start in 2 weeks time. Bah.
