Basically, I've had to revert to using an old Component layout a modified version of an old Component layout temporarily, because I went in a few moments ago to change something on my Generator layout, and the whole thing's spazzed

Hi. Aw, that sucks. I can try and help - I take it you're using S1? If you paste in the code, then I'll have a look :)

Put it in between <*textarea cols="40" rows ="5"> and <*/textarea> (obviously without the asterisks) so that it doesn't clog up the whole comments page, either.

You're layout was a pink one, right? I dunno if I completely remember how it's meant to look...do you have a screenshot or anything?

Well, I put it in to my overrides box, and it doesn't look like your layout on my journal, either (I know the colours are wrong too). Also, I went back to the overrides box and the only thing showing after I saved was FRIENDS_OPT_ITEMS=>10

I hope I copied and pasted right - I'll have a look and see if I can see anything wrong. I just tried one of my old S1 layouts too and it worked okay.

Have a look at my journal now. To me, it just looks like the normal Generator.

That's ok ^^ I hope I do too~~ T^T It was really upsetting~! I went in to adjust a colour, and suddenly for some weird reason LJ can no longer work my code. God knows why. And I suck at HTML too, so it's gonna take me ages to work out what's wrong with it...

You just have to put it in as an extra Component. I seem to remember having to add an extra } before inserting it, but just fiddle around and it should work.

I'm sorry, but at the moment I want to concentrate on why my own Generator layout is playing up. When I get that sorted, then if you're still stuck I'll edit it into your code for you.

That has to suck big time!!!!! You know how crap I am with computer layouts or I would offer to help. Its just too confusing for my very little brain... eeek!!!!

On a happier note, I am so excited about saturday... yay... it should be so much fun!!!! Katie emailed me and told me she can make it but Lucy cant.

Yeah, I had a feeling that might happen, because your layout is basically just an edited form of mine.

Just go into Manage on the LJ toolbar, then Customize, then Custom Options. Delete your entire code. it doesn't matter - i have a copy, and anyways, i'm going to have to redo it completely from the looks of things

Then set your journal back to a default theme and layout style you liked temporarily - the cat one or whatever.

I promise I'll try and sort it out soon. Hopefully within the next couple of days, but I have no clue at the moment what's going wrong with it.
