Order of the Phoenix & Torchwood
Went to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix yesterday with Lanu and Emma:
I really liked it! :D I'm not sure if I prefer it to 3/4 but it was really good, I thought.
1. Radcliffe's acting was better than before - or at least, there was less obviously bad acting. But he still moves like he's been set in concrete, and kissed Cho like he had a condom on his tongue.
2. that bit where they flew through London, past the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben made me go squee (^w^); ::loses::
3. how come Radcliffe is suddenly really short?
4. loved Umbridge. Love love love. She was so annoying and evil. And pink. Looked like something out of Legally Blonde - I kept expecting her to get one of those horrible small yapper dogs out and set it on Harry.
5. SERIOUS LACK OF SIRIUS/REMUS!! DD: As expected I suppose - Remus had no lines! Chiz! BUT that bit when Harry hugged Sirius after he first arrived at Mission HQ, with Remus in the doorway = cute family scene! XDD And when he thought back on it later in flashback!mode, he said something about family over it :D THIS MEANS IT'S TRUE ::is in serious denial::
6. at least there was no Remus/Tonks, thank God.
7. why don't the other students know expelliarmus!? It's like the only spell they ever use, for Christ's sakes.
8. I didn't like the battle that much because I'm not keepn on CGI battles, but I thought the bit with Harry fighting Voldie in his mind was pretty cool :DD wtf at Dumbledore/Voldie sending glass and fire and all sorts at each other.
9. short = good. I thought it was really well edited, especially given that book is in serious need of some good pruning.
10. LOLz @ twins XDDD I used to find them annoying, but I liked them way more in this one. Their escape was one of my favourite moments in that book, and I thought it was done pretty well.
Anyways, then Lanu came back to mine and we had a TORCHWOOD-FEST 8DD Well, more of a Barrowman-fest ::is lame:: Watched Captain Jack Harkness and replayed the dance/kiss. It makes me both squee and sad at the same time (T^T) Gah~~~~ jackjack ftw!
We were trying to work out a way that Original!Jack could return... Maybe if Jack got hold of a paradox machine, he could bend time so he could go back and meet Original!Jack earlier, or prevent him from being killed. Although Jack still loves the Doctor. And then there's Ianto. Oh, the tangled web of romance! DD:
Yes, I know I lose at life. Omg I need a hobby.
Oh yeah, and it's the second episode of Cape Wrath tonight. I'm going to watch it, but if its as weird and confusing as the first I'll stop there. I don't really like it yet. And the best description I can come up with for it is 'fucking weird' (which is very very true). Liking the autistic son, though.
