Vicky, _windigo_, Emma and I will be going paintballing to celebrate my birthday!! :DD Guns, smoke bombs and violent types taking out their aggression on innocent strangers, just like Alabama. Anyways, sounds EXCITING :D People have been telling me all these horror stories about scarring and massive bruising... but I will not be put off! 8DD ( Read more... )

*pokes you* :D
(waaah it's been so long since I talked to you! I've been away from LJ for far too long @@;;).

I'm kind of curious about paintballing, but I am admittedly made nervous by all those stories of people getting huge bruises. :D;; Happy early birthday! (just in case I'm not around to say it when your birthday actually comes around ^^;;)

I'm American (well, Taiwanese-American, but more American than Taiwanese since I was born here/lived here all my life...ANYWAY), and I don't really find all that stuff about "American family values" to be very moving either. D: Then again, I'm not really much of an emotional person.

::is poked:: Hi~!! I've been away from LJ for a while too, nice to talk to you again!! :DD

I'm not really worried about getting hurt, just of being rubbish and only getting to play about 10 seconds before being hit XDD Hopefully that won' happen... And thanks! It's ok to forget my birthday - I tend to forget my birthday often too, as it's in the middle of the summer holidays here in the UK. Unfortunately this year it's the day after my final exam results come out, so no chance of forgetting it... DD:

I don't think many Americans do really find it moving or anything, I just wondered. It's a shame - America has produced some of the best TV in the world (Queer as Folk, for example XDDD ), but some programmes can get overly emotional and kinda cheesy with all that 'family values' shmaltz. Brothers & Sisters seems to have gone that way, which is a shame for such a promising series... Ah well DD:

I tend to forget my birthday a lot too, since I don't really care about it and it's in the middle of the summer holidays. I didn't forget it this year though, since it was the day that we left for Taiwan. :D I got lucky this time: 7-Eleven was giving out Hello Kitty items. When I was in Taiwan back in April during spring break, they were giving out Snoopy cards. Those Snoopy cards were really cool too; the scene changed when you moved the cards around in different angles (I'm not sure what that material is really called. XD;;). I miss the 7-Elevens in Taiwan...they sell the coolest stuff, and I loved the riceballs. ;_;

OMG I LOVE ASIAN 7-ELEVENS TOO!!! :DD ::high-fives::

When I went to Thailand last year we stayed for a few days on the beach island of Ko Chang and they had THE MOST AWESOME 7-Eleven. It sold these Japanese meat and mushroom dumpling things called shumai, and also manju. I ate about a billion XDXD I kept having to get my friends to go and buy them for me because I was embarrassed to be seen buying so many. I want to go back there just for that ::lame::

Sounds like an awesome birthday though! This year we're going to Japan a couple of weeks after my birthday, so I'm going to spend my birthday money there :DD
