I'm really sorry to say this, but there's nothing anyone can do. Not all governments care about petitions, and most don't care about internet petitions.

Well, the case has national attention. So it's the least I can do. I'm not going to just not sign a petition simply because "most governments don't care"

At least I'm putting my voice in there somewhere.

And I'm not naive, I know it seems pretty hopeless. But that doesn't mean I can't still hope either.

American national attention means nothing in other countries. The only way that we can change any of this is starting another war. I don't mean to say that I don't think that this is wrong, because I do think that this is wrong, but there is nothing that we can do about another country.

No. Not just the United States, this is worldwide. The United Nations has gotten involved and is reminding the Iranian government of the laws concerning the excecution of minors. The retrial is not by accident. So there is hope, even if there isn't very much.

And the woman who brought attention to this case isn't American either. She's Canadian.

I know you aren't saying that you aren't against this either, but I'm just trying to correct you.
