I personally think it's pretty rude for someone to invite somebody to thier party and not invite that person's significant other. It's one thing if it's informal and you've never met them or don't even know they exsist, but if you know them and are on friendly terms with them it's a jerky thing to do to not invite them and invite thier girlfriend/
