Don't read if you don't want to be bored...
One day, a few weeks ago, only my sister and I were home. My mom had picked me up from school, and then had to go and pick up my uncle at the hospital because he had inhaled something that was affecting his lungs in a negative way. Anyway, I usually never answer the phone because it scares me and I hate to talk on it, as does my sister(Tap). Tap was in the shower, and no one else was home, so I answered it. It was my brother, calling for me mum, to see when she would be coming to pick him up because he had missed the afterschool bus or something. I told him she went to pick up my uncle, and that he would have to wait (of course I laughed because he would have to wait, mwahahahaahaha). Then my dad called about twenty minutes after that, asking if my mum had went to pick up my uncle, and I said yes. Then right after that, like right when I hung up, my uncle called to see if my mom had left yet.
Then Tap came down from upstairs. And the phone rang again. This time it as some woman from the hospital, and I was on the phone with her for about half an hour in total (because she called twice) which was totally awesome for me. NOT.
After she called, I made my sister finally pick it up, becasue previously we were throwing the phone at each other so that either she nor I would have to answer it. My Dad had called again. When they hung up, my sister looked at me an said, "Ha ha, I got Dad." Then I tackled her.
These were a scary series of moments form me, and i was on theverge of tears(though not really).
The reason I bring this up is to describe my background and fear of pople on phones.
My sisters, Tap and Lupe, are in texas. I called them because my other family members are dreadfully boring, and I had just gotten out of the pool and was tired of reading my book. So, I called Lupe (loo-pay) and we were chatin'. Then, she puts on my cousin whom I have never met on the phone. That was a fun conversation full of nothing but empty space and scilence. Eee-eee, eee- eee (the sound of a cricket).
Danielle came back on, and then she said she would put Jack on again, but I hung up on her before she could.
I hung up on Jack though: my bad.
Then I called Tap and Jack answered.
He told me he saw a picture of me laughing, and I thought that that was creepy. I had sen a picture of him before, but I totally forgot what he looked like (oops). So I had trouble talking on the phone with someone I barely know, or with anyone really.
Wow, this story sucks, so yeah. I will end it here.
It ended well.
Just reminded me of a joke from John Hodgman's book, called The Areas of My Expertise. It is a fake almanac of partially made-up facts by hi, John Hodgman.
I will not tell it to you, too bad, hahahahahahaahahahaha.
Jenn did not find it funny at all. When Steph comes home, she will read it, and we shall gang up on her bcause she doesn't find it funny.
