I guess it's dependant upon maintaining certain interests throughout life. For instance, I started reading HP when I was 12, and the books made me as happy then as they do now. The same little things that attracted me to the story then do so now. Also,I love the way that JK Rowling has all these tiny details in the early books that become HUGE factors in the latest ones.

It's a solid book, and a good series, and I look forward to reading the new ones when they come out (JK Rowling's style matures with her readers). However, I don't understand the addiction either...(like waiting in line at 12:01 AM...coughcoughKevincoughcough).

Well, if you only read the first 1/4 of the book...and I'm going to assume it was the first one...No wonder you got bored!

The first one was okay, but it was lacking in all the action, drama, angst, bits of comedy, etc....that plays a major role in all the others. It's good, especially near the end, but during the first parts...Neh.

Personally, I think the third or this new one qualify for the best. The second and first are were the ones that took awhile to warm up to.

im with fluffer on this one. 3 is the best but 6(the newest) is also great. order of my liking: 3,6,5,4,1,2. 6 and 3 are fighting for the top spot. results once i finish 6 for the second time
