Yay! The day I randomly check livejournal is the day there is a random update! Love that you are still posting these. I really need to post some Penguinos. I have a chapter that is really close to done.
Yay for the monster mash! Looks like it is going well for you. I think with werewolf sims they have to maul the other sim to transfer the "bug." You may be able to ask for it like with the witches but I think it tends to be an option on the werewolf to maul another sim.
Good call on making the servo permaplat. What type of personality did he get that he fears all the things happening on the lot!
Looking forward to seeing what the kids get up to as they grow up!
Hey Pen! Feels like it's been decades. D: And yes, it would be nice to see the Penguinos again!
Betta is best friends with the werewolf guy now, but I've not seen the option to ask for being mauled. There isn't even an option to influence him to do it (like with the vampires). I have no idea if maybe he's too nice to do it autonomously or what. :/ But she's also friends with the Leader of the Pack so that's still an option. One of those things that takes forever. Bleh.
Banjo's got the exact same personality as Betta because she's the one who activated him. So his fears are a mystery! I'm sure the game programming purposely makes Servos a little unstable. I had one once, way back when I played a legacy, who prepared nothing but deserts. If there was a hungry Sim in the house, she made Baked Alaska or cheesecake. Never once made an actual meal in eight generations!
oh mY GLOB IT'S FINALLY HERE :'D You're the best <3 Wait, when Betta was "reunited" with her family, were there 2 moons in the background? :D The monster mash bonus is the most interesting part in legacies for me. I still remember how Quark turned into a plantsim and I laughed to tears from the way she looked xD I've been playing the sims for many years now but I have yet to see a sim turn into a werewolf :0 Oh boy, I can't wait for the next update!
Yes, two moons! I know they appear occasionally, but it was sort of poetic for them to be right there when she returned from space. I actually had a theory at one point that it was easier to get an abduction when both moons were out. Hmm, I might need to explore that.
Quark was kind of a accidental Monster Mash. After she was a plantsim and a vampire I decided I might as well see if I could take it all the way! The hardest part for me because of my attachment to the silly Sim was turning her into a zombie. I almost chickened out because I didn't want to have to kill her! :( And of course the zombie state completely changes their personality. Of course she had zero nice and playful points, so besides her becoming a lot less neat, she didn't suffer too bad.
Thanks for the comment! :D I'm gonna try to get this played through in a timely manner so I can start back on my Egyptian legacy that is growing mold somewhere in a dark corner of my hard drive. :P
What a fun update, Fuzzy! I think you did well with writing up something that you had no idea what ideas you had. (If that makes sense outside my head.)
The pet bed things is annoying! I thought pet beds were supposed to help if you were tight on space, but no -- complain, get on, complain, get off, complain, get on...
I like Mack's makeover. What curls are you using for him?
Confession time: When I started playing, I had bowling alleys on the lawn all the time. Where else was I going to put them, the kitchen?
You get two moons when the camera is in a certain position relative to the lot wall -- two suns too. Move the camera a bit either way and you go back to one celestial body, just as plumbbob intended.
I use the pet bed for toddlers because I find the crib so annoying when everyone in the house is shoving the kid into it when s/he's barely tired. Then they mess their diaper before I can get someone to let them out to use the potty. Some toddlers are really good about putting themselves to bed. But holy crap Perch waits until she's dead tired then does that wake up to complain about being tired thing. -_-
Hah, yeah I've had quit a few yard bowling alleys in the past. XD
Mack's hair: The tool tip in CAS says it's "HP Cherub Pooklet by Lifa". So I guess it's a Pookleted version of HystericalParoxysm's curly Cherub hair on MTS that I must have picked up on Tumblr somewhere. So of course I'd never find it again in a million years. :P
No matter where I put the camera on the lot, I see two moons! I tried dead center, above the roof, below the foundation, across the street, over the ocean. I thought I'd read somewhere that there are two moons in the Sim world, you just can't see them all the time? *shrug* I've got two so I'm special. ;)
I like the update, even though you had no idea what was going on! :) It happens to all of us at some point.
Lots of good progress this update! And all the kids are adorable, as usual! I still love your name scheme, too!
As for the werewolf, I've not seen it done automatically, and I have a couple in my OWBC 'hood - because of course, every knowledge sim now wants to be one. Good luck with it, though!
Yeah, I'm suspecting that the werewolf isn't programmed to autonomously "savage" another Sim. It's something you have to do manually, so it has to be a playable Sim you can give a command to. Which kinda sucks, but I guess it prevents your whole neighborhood from turning into wolves!
At least the vampire is pretty easy because you CAN have someone influence them to bite another Sim. :P
