when I was 5 my favorite movie was Batman Returns. And during 1st grade show and tell we had to talk about our favorite movie and explain why we liked it. I talked about the scene when Penguin bites the guys nose. my teacher made my mom come in after school to talk about what's age-appropriate. That was the start of many meetings that made my parents decide to take me out of private school and send me to manchester.
I havent seen the dark knight yet because I hold the early batman movies at such a high, sentimental standard that I dont want them ruined.
this was long. i hope you have a wonderful week, amyleeee.
T.T *jii* The bad guys were good and all but I wasn't in love with them. :P I thought Batman's character was boring... .__. But everyone seemed too enchanted with Heath to care.
The only thing I was really excited about was when I was like "wait, where have I heard the name Harvey Dent before?" (I watched the cartoons when I was little) and then seeing the coin and being like "OH MAN HES GONNA BE TWO-FACCEEEEEEEEEEE" and then I loled because he was the guy from "Thank You For Smoking" (awful).
I thought Heath ledger brought a whole new perspective to what The Joker is like and did an incredible job... but the thing is is that I would still think the same thing even if he was still alive, and it seems like most people are going crazy over him in the movie because they're like OH HE WAS SO GOOD BUT NOW HES DEAD THATS SO TRAGIC AND GOOD BAAAAAWWWWWW.
Batman was super boring. It's like the writers forgot that he was in the movie. I think he spent more screen time as Bruce Wayne, even.
I wonder if it was awkward at all for Maggie Gyllenhall since it was her brother in Brokeback Mountain with Heath Ledger, haha.
