It was a good way to end the weekend. Sunday night I had the pleasure of seeing the band my friend Shelby is in (Relik) play at the battle of the bands finals at the I-Rock. Let me tell you they did not disappoint. Through the support of all the fans of Relik's music the were victorious. As the crowed roared for their opion on the music my ears started to ring, and as the annoucement of the winner was mad I think everyone lost their voice for a while.
It was really sweet. Those guys deserved it. Their winnings included $500, 20 hours of studio recording time, and their album is being sent to four different lables. Congradulations Relik.
Well it was a good way to finish one of the best weekends I have had in along time. And a good way to start off my first entry in over a month.
Thursday is the day I deem worthy now of starting the week-end. I had school during the day which is never a bad thing. Espcially with the lovely Celeste in attendence of Japanse class :). After school I had work, which actually wasnt all that bad. Had fun in the ironman. Then I met Joe, Mike, and Shelby up at Linda's place (Dinner on 9&Harper). Next Shelby and I were off to join Brown, Dave, and others shotting some pool at Snookers. Which despite my shitty preformance I must say I am getting better, little by little. We always have a good time up there. Any of you out there wanting to play alittle stick should join us.
Friday, well we left Snookers at 2:00am. Mike got home at 2:30am. Mike decided he wasnt tired and wanted to play Resident Evil 4 some more. Mike went to bed at 3:30am. Mike had to wake up at 8:30am for work. Mike is not smart.
Hey you got to break some eggs to make an omlette. Work was all right I suppose. I really just wanted to get the hell out of there and begin my adventure that will be named "The Central Experince". With a cast of thousands, starring Sketch (Nicole), Amanda (Roommate #1), Carly (Roommate A/Skecth's girlfriend), Shelly (sister to Sketch), Al(friend to sister of Sketch), Lauren (oh my god, smokin ;) ), Lindsey (friend of Lauren), with apperences by two guys for Cadillac (Amanda's friends), and last but not least the star of our show, Me.
Unfortunately I was to be detained and delayed by the weather and my car needing and oil change. It's all part of the journey. The drive up was though provking. Once I got there the show began. Amanda was having wardrobe issues, and decided Carly's shirt was the answer. We went shopping, I became the little servant boy (thanks Carly). Came back to the hubble appartment (it's actually pretty nice, the girls decorated well). Drinks were served. Enter Lindsey and Lauren (who admittedly so, I was hitting on). But anyways we had a few drinks (Sake for me thanks, I highly recommend you all try some one of these days, Hot or cold, some do both). Stories were told laughs were had, and smiles on all faces. Ahh yes then it was sleepy time. Or so I thought. At about 4 in the morning Amanda came home, woke up then fell back asleep. At 5:30 am her friends dropped by. I knew this because there rapping on my chamber door awoke me from my dream state. I was greatly entertained when Amanda helped me back to sleep. After answering the door, she walked past, closed my eyes, and said "go back to sleep" or some thing of that nature. We woke up in the morning had the breakfast of champions (Fig newtons and Jelly beans, hung out awhile longer, then we were on our seprate ways. Ahh I must say that was indeed a blast. I look forward to a return trip in a couple weeks.
Saturday, was a perfect day for a drive. And drive I did. I cruised home going about 85 with some excellent music accomping me. I was also mr. popularity on the way home. It seems everyone and there mother decided to call me. The best had to be the Celeste call. She was calling to see if we were still going to hang out later that day. We traded stories of our previous nights affairs (her friend got his hands on some Absenthe, which i have been dying to try) and were both finding traffic to be some what annoying. And hang out we did...for about 20 mins. :( because Mapquest sucks some sort of ass (they gave her wrong directions). Thats ok we still had fun (I even got a hug out of the deal), not to mention she looked as beautiful as ever :). After that it was off to Dan's house for our weekly Magic draft leauge. And as per usual I got my ass handed to me in a paper bag, even though I asked for plastic. It was all in good fun. Afterwards it was off to Linda's place again then to Shelby's sisters bar. Once again Mike was not smart please refer to the previous section on all that.
Sunday was a good cap. Work wasnt good by any means. It seemed it was have an I.Q. less than that of pocket lint and win a prize. I'm serious, dumb as dirt the lot of them. But it didn't matter the concert more than made up for all of that.
In an effort to keep the good thing going, today I went to school (mid-term
>:( . But I did get to see Mike's hockey team play. And as always they put on a good show. Tomarrow I'll be either hanging out with Celeste after school (which if it were up to would be the best outcome), or going up to B-dubs to catch the Piston's game with the Mexichan (None other than Michael Muller).
Well my body is sore, the price I pay for enjoying the past few days I guess. But I would gladly pay it again to have some more fun down the road.
