Recently I heard two mothers arguing about who was more overprotective of their child - and they were giving each other more and more extreme examples as if this was something to be truly proud of.   To me, this was an embarrassing display of over-protectiveness, known in the current jargon as "helicopter parenting

They can probably survive long enough to procreate and then become over protective parents frightened by the wind.

You probably already know this but I just learned they changed the name "Sesame Street" to something like Sesame Park because streets aren't safe to play on. WTF?!!! And don't get me started on changing Cookie Monster's name...grrrr....
