I had to yell (yell = be visibly pissed and not be nice and smiley) at a student already. I've only been here an hour. Student comes in with a typed paper, fine. But then he's like "yeah I have no periods or commas." A single spaced page with two paragraphs AND NO PUNCTUATION. And he was not going to pull off the ee cummings type of pretension. Did

I just got to read this. Damn. I'm sorry. But you could totally write a book on how community colleges are just an extension of high school for those who were kind of just passed along. Or something wittier. Lots of anecdotes. And refer to everyone with an alias like The Squirrel or The Peacock or the Nice Lady who Needs a Lot of Attention and Knows it but Will Feed You for Your Efforts.
