ya know it's just weird to watch an anime after seeing it in the original Japenese with, i'm thinking, good translation and subtitles and then watching the english dub and wanting to weep just a bit. I mean, i know they are aiming Naruto at the younger crowd but still.. they changed Rock Lee's drunken fist into the Loopy fist.. i'm like WTF?? and

My first introduction to Naruto was on Cartoon Network and I hated it. Then joshualore convinced me to at least sit through the bridge arch in Japanese with subtitles. It was a complete 180 from the schlock that Cartoon Network is putting out. Naruto is so bad ass in Japanese and they so gimped him in the dubbed versions.

Oddly enough I like Sai. He is a complete asshat but he seems to do it more for attention than anything else. Like he doesn't have any real social skills so he resorts to kindergarten hair pulling to show he likes a person. But we will see as the series goes on if I'm right about how he acts.

And if you noticed the lyrics they show on the opening theme is different from what they suppose to be on the original opening theme but eh... like you said they did it for the kids mainly there.

Makes me wonder what else they will work on when they get closer and closer to the Shippuden series.
